Story of Trending Colours of 2017

According to Pantone, we explore colours that are “real” and “unreal”, absent and present and a blend of what is in between. We are blessed with the colors that are simple, honest, modest and stronger, more saturated tones that make a bold statement. From colours that are illuminating and dramatic to those that narrates a sense of decency, the colours for 2017 are the hues that create an aura of Mother Nature around us. The latest Pantone shade spins around the colour of year-Greenery, which speaks our desire to express, explore, experiment and reinvent. Most obviously, environment today refers to the “go-green” movement-which, while not a revolutionary idea in 2017, has reached a climax this year. But beyond just the natural environment, the color reflects the divided social and political landscape too. Greenery is not a “green with envy” hue, unlike 2013’s color of the year, Emerald, which symbolized luxury. Greenery actually taps into the opposite: ‘minimalism’. Nature is free, and the color is meant to be a strong supporter.Fashion bangs with amazing sets of ten colours which are a mixture of vitality and relaxation. Leading the charge are Niagara, Primrose Yellow and Lapis Blue in the top three slots, respectively, followed by Flame and Island Paradise. Ranking sixth through 10th, are Pale Dogwood, Greenery, Pink Yarrow, Kale and Hazelnut.
